More international than ever before

On balance, the Eurocucina show which closed its gates on
April 13th was a positive event for Miele. More international visitors than ever before were welcomed at Miele’s booth. There were overall successful results too: the tradeshow reported 10% more visitors (357,000 in total).

At the centre of the Miele exhibition was the new built-in appliance generation 6000, which in many countries was launched in 2013, but in Milan was extended by adding further products. „For the Eurocucina we consciously placed the focus on PureLine design appliance combinations because this design line showcases Miele’s design homogeneity particularly well“, explains Gernot Trettenbrein, Head of Domestic Appliances International and responsible for the Miele presentation at the exhibition.

A talking point was the world premiere of a handle collection, „Miele Signature“, which gives built-in appliances an individual design. The collection ranges from gold-plated handles to handles with slate inserts and with refined woods. A 68 litre cabinet and the wide range of applications are characteristics of a steam combination oven (DGC XXL), which will be launched in September. Miele picks up on the trend  for fully integrated appliances in the kitchen with its „Leventar“ cooker hood, which disappears into the base unit when no longer needed, and its dishwashers with „Knock2open“ function:  Miele dishwashers can do without conventional handles and are opened by tapping twice on the machine front.

Miele set culinary accents at its booth, at Miele Galleries and Showrooms of renowned kitchen manufacturers. At the booth, visitors were spoilt by the “Slow Food Italia” association with recipes of selected regional products. For cooking events in the Gallery as well as in-house exhibitions at Dada, Arclinea, Boffi and Valcucine, Miele Italy assumed a cooperation with well-known food bloggers. Their cookery demonstrations in Miele active kitchens spread like wildfire via Twitter and Blogs in the town and generated full showrooms.
