Innovative products, tradition-steeped ambience

"All in the name of good taste" – Miele's motto for the 2012 Kitchen Mile fair at Gut Böckel country estate. 31 manufacturers present their in-house shows at various locations along the A30 motorway. Miele underlines this claim with a series of new products and events with Miele Table Artists who this year show their skills at a very large cooking island dominating the trade fair. In previous years, only two chefs were cooking at the same time. Now there are four chefs who serve guests culinary delicacies. Those attending the opening event on Friday evening, September 14th have the opportunity to see the well-known chef de cuisine Alexander Herrmann.

Visitors will experience an exhibition with bright and friendly materials in subdued natural colours. The new cooking appliances are the centre of attention in regard to products, including new "PowerFlex" and "FlexTouch" induction hobs. Miele presented the latter on the Eurocucina as a prototype. The presentation also includes innovations in the field of dishwashing, refrigeration and cooker hoods. Miele shows new products from September 14th to 21st at Gut Böckel country estate in Rödinghausen, Germany. The opening times are daily from 9am to 7pm (different times for September 14th and 21st).

Gut Böckel country estate is steeped in tradition: here, Rainer Marie Rilke wrote poetry, Martin Heidegger philosophised and Theodor Heuss, whilst Federal President of Germany, visited Hertha Koenig, lady of the manor. The owners Ernst and Karen Leffers renovated the entire estate very carefully and with great expertise, and were able to save a piece of culture from deterioration. Both are committed to art and culture. The estate is only open to host events – the Kitchen Mile and the Miele presentation are good opportunities to explore this special place.
