Less than 10 months after the ground-breaking ceremony, Miele has now opened its doors in grand style in Austria's capital: In the new Miele Gallery in Vienna, consumers, dealers, architects and property developers can experience the world of the Miele brand first-hand in an exquisite area covering 670 m². In total, Miele has invested EUR 10 m in this new brand embassy on the Vorarlberger Allee – presenting the entire gamut of products in elegant ambience.Sustainability made transparent
Miele's 2011 Sustainability Report has achieved an enviable 7th position in the Institute for Ecological and Economic Research (IÖW)/future ranking published end of February. This represents a rise of 9 positions for the Gütersloh company compared with the last ranking in 2009, despite stricter criteria. At the same time, Miele is the only domestic appliance manufacturer to feature among the Top Ten – and also the highest-ranking family-owned company. Business of design week
The Business of Design Week in Hong Kong has developed into the most significant design and brand event in Asia over recent years. From 28 November to 3 December 2011, Germany's creative industries and brands participated in this event under the motto "Brand New Germany". And Miele was also involved.Pure design for kitchens
Technical innovations and new design options: Miele is responding to the trend towards full integration of kitchen appliances with new products and features in the field of ventilation technology. Apart from this, Miele stages cookery demonstrations by internationally renowned chefs de cuisine with new built-in kitchen appliances, and a sophisticated tradeshow booth. Under the motto "Culinary Art by Miele", Miele showcases a top-class presentation of haute cuisine at the Eurocucina in Milan(April 17-22, 2012).

New Miele Galleries in Dubai and Kuala Lumpur
Miele has more than 50 galleries worldwide in which interested visitors can experience the fascination of the Miele brand at first hand. Galleries most recently opened are the Miele Gallery in Berlin situated in the traditional 'Kaiserhöfe' on the 'Unter den Linden' noble boulevard and two galleries at exclusive locations in Asia. The opening of the representative rooms in the Sama Tower in Dubai was celebrated in the presence of 220 guests.
Living Architecture – Holiday in architects' houses
In the past, those who wanted to spend their holiday in a holiday home in Great Britain only had the option of cosy-traditional cottages in typical country house style. Alain de Botton from Sweden, who moved to London a long time ago, would like to change this. For this reason he launched the 'Living Architecture' project.
World first: Economical drying using solar power
Using direct radiant heat from the sun to dry laundry has, to date, only been possible by hanging washing out on a washing line. In future, solar power can also be used to heat the process air in a tumble dryer. At the IFA 2011, Miele presented a project study compiled in co-operation with solar technology manufacturer Solvis involving a solar tumble dryer. The IFA trade show in Berlin has a long-standing reputation as being the world's most important exhibition for consumer electronics and domestic appliances. For Miele, this is an important annual event – and a challenge at the same time. From September 2 to 7, 1441 exhibiters presented their products in Berlin and competed fiercely for visitors' attention. On a 3000 m² stand, Miele focused particularly on bringing the company brand and its core competences alive.

It is believed that more than 750,000 people will eventually move here, relieving the overpopulated surrounding districts. Three new discovery centres for stylish indulgence
Experiencing first-hand what it is that makes Miele different – this is the aim of our worldwide Miele Gallery showroom concept. These showrooms allow you to become immersed in the world of Miele and are now present in over 40 cities. Three new showrooms have been added across three continents: Since December 2010, there have been new Miele Galleries in Santiago de Chile and in Brno – the Czech Republic’s second city – while the opening of the Shanghai showroom took place in January 2011.continue
